A wine by any other name

May I introduce my latest batch of wine: Tunnel of Love. She was labeled yesterday afternoon as the golden sunlight sparkled off her ruby bottles.

Seriously though, it takes a lot of effort to name some wines. Their flavors, purposes, color and ingredients all work in conjunction to avoid the snappy bon mot. In the end, I went through about 10 different names including:
  • Violaceae Sub Rosa
  • Kelligor (combination of two engaged (to each other) friends’ last names
  • Love Potion #10
I’m still really fond of Violaceae Sub Rosa – expect to see parts of the name blended into future wines.

I absolutely love wine and champagne but I never know what wine to get with certain foods. Such as what wine would best suit a lamb dish, a fish dish and so on...
